BBQ, Beer and Bowls in Brunswick!

Overland joins forces with Meanjin to launch their final issues for the year with a special event: BBQ, Beer and Bowls in Brunswick!
Team captains Jeff Sparrow and Sophie Cunningham will face off in an epic battle to the death. Or depending on the teams, maybe just to the bar. But remember, only one side can take home the coveted emu egg trophy so don't miss the action!
Join us at the Brunswick Bowls Club on Sunday November 29 at 1pm. The Exhibition Game will start at 3pm and at some point we'll remember to launch the magazines and draw the door prize. After that, the rinks will be open for everyone to have a barefoot bowl. There's club prices on the bar and we'll provide the food, so anyone partaking in BBQ and bowls is kindly invited to throw a tenner in the Bucket of Goodwill.
You'll have the chance to buy the new issue or subscribe but mostly we want you to get along, have fun, and celebrate the end of the year with your two favourite magazines. We've appreciated your support and we'd love you to come and kick off your shoes on a lazy Sunday.

It’s an awesome location. My husband had his 30th there. Sounds fun!
Are children allowed at this venue?
absolutely! i’m assured that kids are very welcome and the club even has different-sized bowls for them to use! the bar area will be off-limits, i guess, but it’s a lovely big club with lots of room for wee ones.
hope you can come.
