Salacia

she whales into the carpark

harries
through shallows

her heart’s in a plastic bag

caught casing
reefs of crisps

lovesongs loosed from cans
her hands sprout hijacked

speech bubbles she
placards her demands:

bread

and the hatchback’s drifting, so
mind her jumping the line?

— it’s high tide outside
